How Did I Buy 256GB iPhone X by Selling ONE Backlink?
A simple two-word answer to this question is “Online Business”.
What, you don’t yet know what online business is? If not, you must start exploring it today, if you really want to make money online.
I’m not telling this because a lot of other “online business owners” have been making huge money out of it. But I’m telling you this confidently because I’ve been making money via online business MYSELF!
It worked out so good for me that I was able to completely quit my job and turn online business into by fulltime “money making” career.
It worked out so well in the last couple of weeks that I was even able to manage cash for the all new iPhone X 256GB model that costs $1,149 in US Apple store. I had someone who brought it to me from Dubai. It cost me roughly, Rs. 1,33,000/- NPR (Nepalese currency).
I was so excited that I even thought to write an entire article on what I did to make this happen.
Trust me, it’s not as hard as you might have been wondering.
Let me start this with an example…
If I have an offline dairy business in Nepal, I will want to get in touch with the top “suppliers” of milk in Nepal and try to “resell” their products to my “customers” with a profit margin.
It’s even simple if you’re reselling a product or a service ONLINE, as you need not step out of your house to find suppliers and customers.
So, here’s the step-by-step breakdown of what I did:
Step #1: Identified the best-selling service
I first tried to figure out what is the best-selling service that is related to my field on interest. After spending more than 4 years in Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) sector, I at least know how important backlinks are for getting higher Google rankings.
And I know a lot of people out there are looking for similar services. So, I decided to start providing and “reselling” backlinks to my clients.
If you’re already into the “link building” game to get to the top of Google, you probably know how expensive it can be to get your articles published on high authority sites like Business2Community, Entrepreneur, BizCommunity, Tech.co, Medium, Dzone, Huffington Post, Forbes, and more.

Once I figured out that selling backlinks to my clients will bring me the most profit, I started with step 2.
Step #2: Looked for Freelances Who Could do this for me
If you try to find freelancers on Fiverr.com who can get your articles published on these sites, I’m sure you’ll be surprised to see their pricing plans that starts from $5 and goes high even more than $5000.
But why so expensive???
Sites like Forbes.com roughly gets a traffic of 4M each day. That’s a huge deal! If you have a worthy product/service that you need to market it to the world, one single post about your product/service on Forbes.com will drive massive number of eyeballs. No brainer!
Result? You get a tone of prospect clients! And business owners are ready to pay a good amount for such listings.
Out of the sites listed above, I have authorships in some where I can easily post articles and get approved. But on highly authoritative sites like Forbes and Huffington post, I still don’t have authorship, as they give opportunity only to selected members.
So, if you wish to publish an article talking about you and your business on Forbes.com, you would have basically 2 options;
One: Contact Forbes staff to allow you to publish articles as a Forbes Author (Higher chances are that you get rejected L), and
Two: Contact already existing authors and request them to post your article.
But let me warn you!
Not all authors will approve your request until your article is “fully informative”.
If you’re lucky enough, they might want to publish your article without charging you any “fee”. But if your article is “fully promotional”, that talks only about you and your product/service, they can charge you a fee.
Now, what I did is tried to find such authors who is willing to post my fully promotional article in return of a fee. After interviewing around 15-20 such authors, I finally got my guy and he quoted me his quotes. Here’s a snapshot of my conversation with the author.
So, he quoted me $5000 for getting one promotional article fully featured on Forbes.com
Here’s what I did until now;
First, I figured out what is the best-selling service in my sector (SEO) – “Getting published on high quality sites like Forbes”
Second, I researched and found someone who could post articles on those high authority sites.
What next? You probably guessed it!
Step #3: Quested for Clients
I started looking for clients who want their articles get published on similar high authority sites!! I emailed and/or sent chat messages to all my clients till date. Few of them replied, and one of them was very much interested in getting his article published on Forbes. He asked me how much would it cost for getting his article published on Forbes. I said $6000! Smart, a?
And this whole process took just 1 week of time.
And not only on Forbes, the same client said he would like his article published on other authority sites as well like Huffington Post, Business2Community, Tech.co and more. So, getting published on Huffington Post, Business2Community, Tech.co and more aren’t as expensive as getting published on Forbes. But I managed to get a very good profit!!
And the profit was just enough to buy myself a brand-new 256GB Apple iPhone X!

Here’s a bonus tip for finding clients:
Spend some time surfing on sites like Blackhatworld.com, SEOclerks.com, Fiverr.com, Warrior Plus Forum, and similar “Digital Marketing” Forums. You’ll find sufficient clients there.
